Copper Shield™ 45 compares to Interlux Micron CSC and Pettit Horizons in performance, quality and top-coat compatibility.

Because of the ablative nature of this paint there is no paint buildup over consecutive years of application, eliminating the annual requirement of heavy sanding surface prep required for hard bottom paints.

Copper Shield 45 provides antifouling protection against barnacles, algae and hydroids in salt and fresh water on boat bottoms only. The copper-copolymer formula provides controlled release of antifouling biocide at the paint surface by the constant exposure of new paint film (polishing) to the water. The longevity of the coating depends on the amount of paint applied. Its ablative copolymer base renders a smooth finish with durability and abrasion resistance for trailered boats.

Copper Shield 45 has universal application over all types of properly prepared bottom paints and for use on both low-speed full displacement trawlers and high-speed planing hulls. Recommended for fiberglass, wood and steel hulls (not for aluminum hulls and sterndrives).

Covers 300 to 400 square feet per gallon.
